I pre-ordered my battery/remote pack on 2/11/10, the first day the "button" on the accessory web page changed from "Notify Me" to "Pre-Order." At that time, product release date was listed as 3/31/10. The cost appeared on the Pending Balance page on my credit card on-line management account. On 2/24 I was excited to receive an e-mail that the battery was ready to ship and I would get another e-mail when it was shipped. The charge on my credit card disappeared. The logitech web site had the order as In Progress. That is the last I have heard.
If pre-ordering only started on 2/11, but the battery shipped to a select few on 2/25 or so, then the production could not have been based on the pre-order amount. I am sure that the people in Haiti or Chile aren't worried about wi-fi radio batteries right now, so I can complain too much. But it does not leave a warm and fuzzy feeling.
