I am guessing that the buffer is a "feature" of sort. I was under the impression that turning the device off stopped all streaming. Guess not. Last night, I performed the same test I did a few nights ago. This time I hit the pause button before hitting the power button. This time internet traffic continued for over 8 minutes after power OFF. Same station, roughly same time. Weird! It's not a matter of paying for bandwidth or constantly monitoring LEDs ...its about being vigilant on usage of your wireless network. Not a huge issue but I do see it as a waste of bandwidth after all. Thanks all for the comments.
