While we're able to rebuild the full firmware for the Radio, it's only rebuilding using the existing binary driver for the Atheros WiFi chip. And there isn't a newer Atheros binary driver, to my knowledge. So updating the firmware is unlikely to help. There are reports from some users that they didn't notice problems with older Radio firmware, but see it with newer firmware. But AFAICT this is anecdotal, rather than methodically tried and tested. I didn't tried to roll my Radios back to older firmware, for example. Success there probably depends more on the older Radio firmware having older Atheros binaries that are more stable, which seems unlikely to me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ omnium21's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70334 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111663 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
