I suspect the battery is on its last legs, but I also suspect the Radio's firmware is broken.
Here's the behavior I'm seeing, pretty much every time now: If the Radio has been plugged in for many hours or days, and I then unplug it, it instantly turns off, or occasionally displays a low battery warning and shuts off a few seconds later.
