Moving apartment here in Paris, I thought I'd ordered new ISP equipment
that would avoid the WiFi6 / Mesh issue, by ordering the Freebox Pop
........ When it arrived, there was a glossy note congratulating me on
being one the first customers to receive (at no extra charge.....) the
shiny new WiFi6 / Mesh enabled, upgraded Pop Server. Damn.

The Touches seem fine (havn't tried the SqueezeAmps yet....), but the
Radios not - they'll find the SSID but after a while of trying to
connect, tell me they cannot obtain a DHCP connection. A first fiddle
with the router configuration doesn't show any way of disabling WiFi6
(which I would happily do), but I was a bit rushed when I gave that a
try - so, to be re-visited. Luckily, the kit includes a WiFi repeater,
which has LAN out to - and the physical configuration of the space means
that the bedside Radio can use ethernet quite happily. So probably I'll
be OK. Annoying though......

An oddity - I fired up a 10-year-old Lenovo laptop to use in the new
place until I've fully moved out of the old one. That can't even see
the new SSID, nevermind try and connect to it. Very odd. Probably I'm
doing something dumb in that instance.
