Onsite job. Senior role. Full time, permanent. We require an experienced, passionate and exceptionally talented Ruby on Rails Developer to join our small team to re-build our existing CRM. You will have been developing for at least 5 years, while not necessarily all RoR, it will be web based application development. You will have been a Technical Lead/Team Lead in a previous position. We are currently developing a RESTful Web API with a Web 2.0 front end. The database is MySQL, and the current platform that we are moving away from is PHP (although well regarded, no PHP skills will be required for this position). The team will constitute 6 developers, three of which of which will be based offshore (however the offshore guys are senior as well). As well as your obvious high level of technical skills you will have very strong communication skills and have worked within Agile methodology (Scrum) and be a keen TDD or BDD developer. You will also be a very pragmatic person who understands that change and responding to change is an inevitable part of small business.
