Not sure about Micro SIMs, but about 2 years ago Three were painless to deal with - you don't pay for the sim, just credit, and the guy I dealt with knew the APN setting so data just worked.
I think I got 150MB every time I added credit, and had the option of buying a 2GB block through credit applied to the number.
