Yep I used JCR for RubyKaigi 2011, as did quite a few other people: http://www.jcrcorp.com/mobile/mobile_rental_simcard.htm
They seem pretty expensive, but I'm not sure there's any cheaper options, and their customer service was pretty excellent. I accidentally ordered a non-micro-SIM, and they immediately sent me a replacement (same or next day delivery).
