Hey hey,

I'm going through lens calibration process to optimize visual quality of some
holliday pics with buildings (distorted) and grids (which exhibit TCA).

So I profiled my nikkor 18-105mm F/3.5-5.6 lens in the hope lensfun could bring
some magic and fix it all.

I got good distortion correction, but tca is still here and i think i know why.

Basically tca is better fixed before demosaic because tca causes photons to go
to the "wrong" photosite, so basically it's like the bayer grid doesn't really
represent the image that has been shot. So going through demosaic before tca is
like interpolating colors using incorrect data and then trying to fix it. This
causes some serious artifacts. Doing TCA before demosaic removes most of these
artifacts.

I've been browsing the web for a good example, and found one in a forum, but
now i'm writing this email down, the forum url is nowehere to be found in my
history :-(

Are you aware of this fact and is it to be considered in rawstudio ?
