I rechecked all of your suggestions and still have the problem. I can get around the problem by removing the checkbox caption and adding a static text to label the checkbox but am still curious as to why this is happening.

DB Check Box Properties > Properties > Verify the Caption: Make sure to delete any trailing spaces Verify the option for [ ] Transparent 02. DB Check Box Properties > Effects Verify the Vertical Alignment and Bidirectional Mode 03. Click on [Apply] button to save changes. 04. Close and Exit Form Designer 05.
