Ah, you didn't say it was a DBLabel, I assumed it was a DBEdit.   Yes it seems
like it should work the same for a DBLabel, but I have often used read-only
DBEdits as a label so at least there's a workaround.   Maybe report it as an
enhancement request?

I was experimenting on a brand new form with the same variables, same database,
 and learned something.

If I place a dblabel on the form, it does not format as currency and the
display format is ignored.

If I place a dbedit field for the same column,  it displays as currency.

I set it to Read Only to act like a dblabel, and it displays correctly.

I tried the same thing with a date value, as a dblabel it ignores the display
format.  As a dbedit it accepts the display format.

I went back to my bad form, changed a field to dbedit/read only and it displays
currency as it should and it accepts the display format changes.

Shouldn’t they both work the same way ?

Wow, that's shocking, it certainly SHOULD work.  I just tried it on a form I
have here, I'm using Version 11, the 8/21/25 build.  I used the Table settings
to change my currency column back and forth to several display formats, and it
works every time to display the different format.

are you on the 8/21 build?  Perhaps it was a bug that was fixed?   My form is
based on a table, is yours based on a view?  That'd be another difference

Good idea, just tried it and  does not change the displayed data even though it
shows the new format as active.

I know this would be a pain, but an "easy" way to fix would be to bring up the
form, Tables menu, Display Format, and then select your column and its format.

Hi, Mark

I recently experienced the same issue on two clients which i upgraded from X5E
to  RB 11.

The problem seems to be displaying '0' instead of '.00' when currency fields
are .00 within a scrolling region.

The zero dollar amounts on reports seems to be find, displaying as .00 as it
should.

If anyone has a solution, let me know.

I just applied the most recent updates to Rbase 11

I have an old form that has been in use for many years, that just decided to
stop formatting currency values in the currency format.

It does not seem to happen anywhere else.

Settings are

CURRENCY SYMBOL     '$'

CURRENCY LOCATION   PREF

CURRENCY DIGITS        2

CURRENCY CONVENTION B

The fields are defined as currency.

What I see now when running the form is

Any thoughts ??
