I was experimenting on a brand new form with the same variables, same database, and learned something.
If I place a dblabel on the form, it does not format as currency and the display format is ignored. If I place a dbedit field for the same column, it displays as currency. I set it to Read Only to act like a dblabel, and it displays correctly. I tried the same thing with a date value, as a dblabel it ignores the display format. As a dbedit it accepts the display format. I went back to my bad form, changed a field to dbedit/read only and it displays currency as it should and it accepts the display format changes. Shouldn’t they both work the same way ? I just tried it on a form I have here, I'm using Version 11, the 8/21/25 build. I used the Table settings to change my currency column back and forth to several display formats, and it works every time to display the different format. are you on the 8/21 build? Perhaps it was a bug that was fixed? My form is based on a table, is yours based on a view?
