I am using R:Base 6.5++ (sorry, my company hasn't given me the money yet

upgrade to 7.1 -- drat!)

Mike,
Do a small mod to your database in 7.1 (sign up for a beta, if that's still 
possible)
Create a form in 7.1 that is a combination of two or more froms in 6.5 to 
show your company that they can save time by seeing more data at once.
Once they see what 7.1 can do for them, they'll go for it.
That's my experience.
