Subject: [RBASE-L] - Line Feed or Carrige return

For 4 Years I have this routine that exchanges finical information with
other programs according to specific Swedish standard.

It have been working so far with 6 other programs, now with 7:th program it
does not work. To fix this I need to find out if the write statement adds a
linefeed or a carriage return.

Gunnar:

This statement adds a carriage return / line feed: (Char(13)) + (Char(10)) or
0D0A

Write 'Gunnar'
Write 'Ekblad'

This statement DOES NOT add a carriage return / line feed:

Write 'Gunnar' continue
Write 'Ekblad' continue

My program is basically a loop from declare cursor:

>

Out myfile.txt

.

.

.

write .vmtext

.

.

out terminal

I have always presumed that a linefeed is added at the of the write
statement. But now I can't presume I need to knew.

But if a carriage return is added I must confess my program is in error and
7:th program is correct and 6 before that are just fault tolerant.

Is ithe other way I can demand the 7:th program to be altered.

Is ther an editor aviable to Se what charter is added or does someone knew!

Advice much appriciated
