When I was a boy, in Minnesota, George Miken and the Lakers were in Minneapolis, literally (from Ojibway and Greek) the "Lake City." The name survived the trip to that hot, dry, concrete place called Los Angeles. The only names more ridiculous are the Utah Jazz. And the Memphis Grizzlies. Bill
