I did run into a problem with one office using C\Temp for the Scratch setting. This pinhead tech set up this computer with the HD as the E drive and the USB port as C!
They had to have a memory stick in the USB port to get my app to work. I like telling the computer where to put those scratch files, rather than the computer deciding. I like knowing that c:\temp is always the directory where the stuff goes, regardless of which client it is. Otherwise I don't really know where those things are going without finding out their individual TMP setting. It's nice to that have option available -- "do it your way" has always been RBase's model! Karen Instead of manually mucking with the SCRATCH settings, you should take advantage of ENHANCED built-in "SET SCRATCH TMP" option.
