Thanks for the comments I've received. We will be evaluating them all. There are already programs written that use an RBase database with the old character settings of " * and ? . Would we be able to use those programs against a SQL Server database? In other words, does SS have the standard character settings that our RBase program must adhere to? Or do we need to change the programs to ' % and _
