I dont think you can with a Scolling Region and the PDF Viewer. But you could with one of the Variable list look up and the PDF viewer and Property command PROPERTY <Component ID> FILENAME 'Value' I did something like that with our system. Works ok but the PDF Veiwer is very slow if you are resizing the PDF to fit the viewer. 7.5 here at work. Im going to play with this on 9.1 when I get home. Maybe there is a Variable PDF Viewer now with a "ON CLICK EEP" now :). I have experience with having jpg files stored in the database or stored outside the database and being displayed on forms and reports. But this client wants to use PDF files! These PDF files are always going to be just one page, size around 50K. They will always be in a particular directory, and called by the part# so I can easily figure out which to associate. The biggest problem is that they want to be able to display the PDF file in a scrolling region. Is that possible?? In any version (they are in 7.6 now)? If so, which control. I realize I can put a button with a "view PDF file" but he preferred it to be right there in the row. And I'm assuming I can display a PDF file in a report although I haven't had to do that yet. He said he would be willing to convert the PDFs to JPGs but doesn't know how. Any utility (maybe even command line driven) that can do this? Karen
