Tony I unloaded the database and ran the file, as John suggested, it did not fix the problem. It find 4 errors, which I did fix, one was strange there was a default value in a computed column. Your work around does not work for me the browse and edit command at the R> does not work for the tables I cannot view, it is always the same tables. Ray, I have had the same experience. It happened on just one table. I have tried everything to get rid of it, without any success. I have reported this issue with a sample database, but they could not replicate it. However the problem has disappeared on one day by itself (sic!) Miracles happen now and then. The workaround is using browse or edit in the R prompt.
