Ray,

It seems to me your problem differs from mine.

Suggestion:

Define one of your problem tables exactly as is (and needed) in a new database.

Unload data from your original table (pay attention to computed columns) and
load the data in the new created table.

See if it works.

If so, then throw away the old table in the old database and unload structure
and data from the new table and load it back in your original database.

Take care of a backup before you do something

Hope it helps.

Tony

I unloaded the database and ran the file, as John suggested, it did not fix the
problem. It find 4 errors, which I did fix, one was strange there was a
default value in a computed column.

Your work around does not work for me the browse and edit command at the R>
does not work for the tables I cannot view, it is always the same tables.

I hope it go away like it did for you I have tried every thing.

Ray,

I have had the same experience. It happened on just one table.

I have tried everything to get rid of it, without any success.

I have reported this issue with a sample database, but they could not replicate
it.

However the problem has disappeared on one day by itself (sic!)

Miracles happen now and then.

The workaround is using browse or edit in the R prompt.

I am using the latest version of 9.1 and windows 7 ultimate

Subject: [RBASE-L] - Can't BROWSE some tables

I am using RBG9.1 – 64, last updated Sept 15, 2011.

Now when I can open or BROWSE only a couple of the tables in a database but not
others, it is always the same tables, in any database, that will not open (I
can open or BROWSE all tables when I open the database with RBG9.0 – 64).
Reloading a database has no effect.

I have run the databases through RScope and found no errors.

This makes no sense does anyone know why this is happing?
