Nicky,

I suspect you're on the right track, but in the repair dialog it 
currently shows what the diagnostic says it expects, so the only 
option is to make changes to effect what the file sizes actually are.

I'm assuming that these errors are causing the errors shown in the 
data file (virtually every table).  Until they rebooted their server I 
couldn't even copy the #1 file via pcAnywhere, (but maybe I'm all 
wet....) before and after correcting the #1 file there are a gazillion 
errors referring to values that don't match the structure file with a 
broken pointer or two thrown in for good measure.
