Ditto, send the same thing to me and I'll give it a try also. Make sure to
also send the #1 file from the last good backup as well, in case the #1 file
is too corrupt to use.

I've got all the old diagnostic stuff at my fingertips, which I use when
upgrading old databases (always check to make sure you have a good
foundation before building your house!)

If the files are not too large, I would be willing to attempt to extract a
couple of tables for you. The underlying structure of the data is known and
if you have a starting point it may well be possible to fetch the data rows
and produce an ascii equivalent for loading. I believe early versions of
rbase had fixed row lengths (no note fields?) which simplifies the task.

I nearly idle, retired and between jobs! I would be happy to give it a try
with no promises and with no charge.

If you choose to let me give it a shot, zip up the files, even the corrupt
one, and email them with the name of the tables you are interested in.
