Hello Janet, You stated Version 5.5 DOS.   Do you mean V6.5 DOS? Have you eliminated all references in the DOS PATH to the Version 4.0 locations? Does it lock up with something as simple as: OUTPUT PRINTER LIST OUTPUT SCREEN    ??
