I've tried your suggested test using LAUNCH command to verify the "File
Association" and all works ok.
Also my command LAUNCH Makerec.vbs
start the script but I've no results because the script Makerec.vbs needs
two paramaters:
Input file name  (Trpacg.d in my case)
the lenght of logical record (150 in my case)
It seem that the LAUNCH command don't accept parameters
The command LAUNCH "Makerec.vbs Trpacg.d 150" don't start the script.
(my setting quotes are " )
Otherwise the LAUNCH syntax in HTLM online documentation don't provide
parameters.
I think that my only solution was ZIP
