It's a lot less than meets the eye. First, this only could apply to a
PBX or Centrex line but the touchtones don't make a very likely
combination.
9 is typically outdial on a PBX but, if you are already connected, you
could only get dialtone again by putting the first call on hold. You
could only put all three together by a conference.
Unless # or 0# is both prgrammable and programmed to do something, 0
alone dials the operator on just about every PBX. 0# would either dial
the operator (it sees 0 as a match and doesn't wait for any other TTs or
it will see the # as invalid and you get reorder tone. That programmed
something for 0#would have to be to drop the internal caller out of a
conference and leave the outside caller and the new circuit together.
Most PBXs will not do this since the inside party is the link between
the outside caller and the upleg.
