Hi Mike, I am just curious. If each table can have up to 400 columns and you can have up to 16,000 tables or views, why do you feel that attaching DBase files will be a better route. Your requirement of 700 tables and 130 columns each fall comfortably within RBase's specifications. Also I am not sure if an attached DBase file count as a table under RBase.
