I use a table (Printers with Cols Prname[the driver name],DevName[how it is
described in a popup], Port[lptx], PrSts[U,A,or C]) with a list of all
Printers with PrSts flagged  'U' unavailable, 'A' available, 'C' current.
Associated with the printer name is the LPTx that the printer is redirected
to.    A Zip LptSet.cmd (for NT) or Zip LptSet.bat file is run on program
startup that maps the ports and sets the printer to the current selection in
the printer table.  At the beginning of any print, Dialog asks if the
Current selected printer is ok, if not a menu from the table is presented.
In the program code it goes
