A few weeks ago, I reported a
problem related to Office XP not working with Oterro 2.0. (OS is Windows
XP.)
Today, I completely removed Office
XP, and reinstalled it after a cold boot.
I am quite happy to report that not only does Oterro now work flawlessly
with Office XP, the data retrieval speed is ASTOUNDINGLY FAST compared to the
old setup involving Office 2000 under Windows 98. The problem before was apparently caused
by the sequence of installation. I
believe I installed R:Base for Windows 6.5++ and Oterro 2.0 after Office XP, and
this gave me the initial problem.
