I have another thought - Have you made any structure changes or done anything that would cause the system to add the "sys_rowver" col to some tables? I think there is a way to get it to add it to every table. Normally it adds the sys_rowver columns when you make structure changes to a table that does not already have it.
Maybee between this and Larry's comment on padding being part of the entire row size, it could add up?
