Pat:
Someone here said something to the effect that the gray that is the default on forms 
with black text is the most universally acceptable, because of color blindness etc. I 
have been using that. For occasional highlights I have a very light blue, and a very 
pale yellow that I use (custom colors).

But, I do not do commercial apps where more snappy colors may be better. I am 
interested in this thread. I would like to use color more.
