You might want to check out "http://www.datajunction.com/products.asp?NavID=123". The datajunction product can access may data sources directly or using one of its tools you could process report's or even screen images to parset and format your data. If you are having trouble extracting the data you might try looking at the datafiles in a HEX editor. As a last resort try the norton utility diskedit.exe.
I also have a public domain program which will extract ascii strings from a file.
