Bernard After seeing Javiers post and a little further digging he is absolutely correct. Sorry about the misleading information. What I had in mind was finding duplicate info.. A few of the guru's on this list helped me in the past in this area of finding dupes... I was shown this code:
BROWSE ALL FROM header + WHERE ponum IN (SELECT ponum FROM header GROUP BY ponum + HAVING COUNT (*)>1) --this was suggested by Bill Downall for a quick feedback --at the r:> to see if there is duplicates. -- at the r:> put in the statement: --SELECT * FROM primarykeycol, COUNT(*) FROM primarykeycol + --GROUP BY primarykeycol HAVING COUNT(*) > 1 I figured the indexing applied to the deleting of them as well.. Learnin' as we go Just love this list Jim Limburg --- Bernard Lis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Using 6.5++ win 1.855 > > delete duplicates from poheader using ponum > > gives me: 0 rows deleted > > There are 21 duplicate rows > > Bernie Lis > Megabytes, Inc. > __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
