Bill, I've got a cold so that's why I inadverntly used the = in checking for null, first time I've ever done that, honest. But I still needed to set eqnull on. There was a big discussion on eqnull a while back but I never found a need for it til now.
Will 7.0 ignore double quotes? or why did u suggest I start using single quotes. I've got a lot of legacy systems out there and I just kept sticking with dubl. Also, I hate using % and _ -- it just looks strange to me. Give me good ol * and ? It's hard teaching an old dog new tricks. P.S. sure wish I had a copy of 7.0 but I can't afford the time and cost to go to Pitt again. (stock market is in the pits -- I even had to settle for Buick when I really wanted the CTS) ================================================ TO SEE MESSAGE POSTING GUIDELINES: Send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: INTRO rbase-l ================================================ TO UNSUBSCRIBE: send a plain text email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] In the message body, put just two words: UNSUBSCRIBE rbase-l ================================================ TO SEARCH ARCHIVES: http://www.mail-archive.com/rbase-l%40sonetmail.com/
