Bernie - The R:BASE report writer is not able to "see" the column name if it was defined using the AS parameter in the select statement. Yes, I agree that it _should_ show up, but it won't. If you want to reference a computed column that's created in your view definition, you have to create it using the older, R:BASE syntax of:
CREATE VIEW viewname (columnlist) AS SELECT columnlist FROM ..... CREATE VIEW ClientView (ClientID,ClFName,ClLName,clFullName) AS SELECT ClientID,ClFName,ClLName,(ClFName&ClLName) FROM Clients That way, as long as you've named it, it will show up even though it's not a column in a table.
