Midge,

>From the R:> "out a:\mytable.all;unload all for MyTable;out scr"

This will unload the table structure and data for your table (MyTable)
to the floppy drive a:
You will have to open the file in notepad or a text editor of your
choice and make a simple change to the SCHEMA name to the new database
name.

example:

SET QUOTES=NULL
SET QUOTES='
SET DELIMIT=NULL
SET DELIMIT=','
SET LINEEND=NULL
SET LINEEND='^'
SET SEMI=NULL
SET SEMI=';'
SET PLUS=NULL
SET PLUS='+'
SET SINGLE=NULL
SET SINGLE='_'
SET MANY=NULL
SET MANY='%'
SET IDQUOTES=NULL
SET IDQUOTES='`'
SET CURRENCY '$' PREF 2 B
DISCONNECT
SET STATICDB OFF
SET ROWLOCKS ON
SET FASTLOCK OFF
CREATE SCHEMA AUTHOR ALoid_DB PUBLIC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Change the
name of the Author (Aloid_BD)
                                                                            to the
name of the database you want the table
                                                                            loaded to.
CREATE TABLE `SalesOrder` +
(`SalesOrder_ID` INTEGER NOT NULL , +
 `Cust_ID` INTEGER , +

After you save the file as plain ASCII text go to the R:> of the
database that will receive the new table and type: R:> load
a:\MyTable.all and that should do it.

Subject: Moving Tables

I am running R:Base 6.5++ for Windows and am having a difficult time
trying
to combine tables from one database into another database. I went out
to
the archive list and can't find a way to do it. I have copied forms and
reports from one database to another, but can't do tables. I finally
resorted to exporting the table from one database into Excel and
importing
it back to another database in R:base. When I do this, for some reason,
it
changes the date format somehow and doesn't recognize the date. When
you
look in the table, the data is there, but when you try
browse * from History Where date BETWEEN 01/01/02 AND 10/30/02
it says there are no qualifying rows. Does anyone know how to do this,
and
what the problem might be with the dates?
