Thanks, Razzak, but I _can't_ reliably replicate the problem myself - if a problem it is. If I can then you'll have the details asap.
However, I _may_ have made a little progress: I _think_ (I'm being cagey on purpose) that the form reverts to the original data after the table has been updated only when I run another totally unrelated eep. Obviously, there may be something that I'm doing or not doing that causes this but it looks something like this: Update a variable field on the form which updates the table via one exit eep - works as far as I know... Update another variable field on the form and update the same table via a second exit eep that has no shared variables or columns and the first variable field returns to the original data on being returned to the form. Update this field on its own, however, and there is no problem. That first field is defined on the form as a lookup from a second table - I'm obtaining text for a code. Once the driving table has been updated I'm assuming that if R:Base ever recalculates the variables it's going to get the lookup again - hence the trials with recalc and next/prevrow. It looks as if that, somehow, it "remembers" the original variable. (I'm not saying R:Base does remember, only that it looks as if it is remembering - there's a big difference.) This just seems so similar to Tom's scenario that I'll happily jump to conclusions but I have no "evidence" that there's a problem as opposed to an error on my part. Tom talks about regions in his form and I don't have any on mine but I do have EEPs run from buttons. I don't think that I'm doing anything approaching rocket science but there is something weird happening that I can't (yet) explain. Regards, Alastair. ----- Original Message ----- From: "A.
