As regards to network problem I could add :
" DO NOT RUN A MIX OF NETWORK PROTOCOLS "
" STICK TO TCPIP ONLY IF POSSIBLE"
Do not quote me on this since I do not know what I am talking about! I
can only say that when I got rid of Netbuie and Netware protocols then
suddenly even my old R:Base 2.11 app behaved nicely and so did 6.5++
(almost I still have some minory problem with a workstation running ME.
I do belive it's a Bill Gates problem but RDDC team, tell them Razzak
should add a few comments on ME the same way they done for windows 2000
like how to set files and buffers for example) (Sorry RAZZAK no
criticism meant just that it took me 3 months to figure out how to set
files and buffer on Windows-ME)
Anyway soon 7.0 are here according to RAZZAK problem will be history!
Stay happy

Tried several times to duplicate your problem, but system worked
fine. I
am using WIN98SE and 6.5++ build 1.851xrt03.
<<

Also using W98SE and RBW6.5++ (build 1.851xRT03) on a standalone PC and
I
never had this problem.

If you are on a networked environment, I would search about a network
problem.
