You have some points here Thats why I allmost allways do a reload rather then a pack (except when I am lazzy), but recently I did a number of unload all and started a new db. For some tables I lost the data, I had to go back to the backup db and could recover the data (I used unload as asci and load). Eveything seams to be restored but I am the perverse that are worried since something went wrong who do I know that everything is right? Gunnar thanks Bernie
