Wow! Mike, that is fast. I think "just a couple of seconds" to load is
wildly exaggerating the time it takes. Either that or my eyes are slow
today! It was more like instant on my machine (W98SE/250mb ram/PIII - not
exactly state of the art any more.)

The trouble is that it makes the speed of the dbcombobox lookup seem even
less "exciting". Obviously, that's under review for v7.5 but if R:Base can
load external data that fast you would think internal data would be even
faster.

Out of interest, what were your reasons for the 3 buttons - top, right &
bottom - that couldn't be seen?
