Hello, We have had this problem for most of the last year. My employees are frustrated by it. I have listed this as a bug a couple of times and the development team has been unable to reproduce it. One of the places that this bug occurs as at the end of a timeout (set timeout=30). In our case, the memory leak is so high that every other program running on the computer runs out of memory and you have to reboot the PC to continue.

Troy, I have noticed the following behaviour in 7.1, and a variation of it may be what you are seeing. While working with the R> prompt and with either the form or report design window open, typing Exit at the R> prompt will close the design window, and wait for a second Exit to close the R> prompt and R:Base. --- Troy Sosamon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Larry, > > This sounds similar to a problem that I have, and have never been able to > solve it. > > I have a problem when exiting out of R:base using the Exit command, R:base > does not stop running and just stays in memory eating up tons of resources. > If you try to start R:base again, it takes a long time, but anything else > does too. > > The problem does not occur if you go to the main R:base system menu and then > click on the X in the corner.
