I will file a bug to add DL_WIFI to the supported media in the above

Bridging requires a MAC device to emit frames with a source address
other than its' own, doesn't it?
Yes correct.
None of the Solaris WIFI driver/device combinations permitted that when
I tried (which is why VNICs are not permitted over WIFI).
I believe this is because we operate the WIFI devices in 'client mode'
only. If we used them in some other mode it would be possible.
Thanks David. I will see if there is a RFE filed on this already,
if not I will file one. The RFE should provide a way to determine
whether the driver (and device) supported emitting frames
with a source address different from device MAC address.
If such a method was available we don't have to limit bridging
support by media type.
For now perhaps it is best to update the dladm manpage and
remove mention of wireless links as supported link type in
add-bridge subcommand.
