My stable includes many more than 2 but only one of them gets taken to town and locked up for long periods of time, my early 80s Nishiki.
Now, I have taken my Rivendell to UTexas football games but I lock it up at a friend's tailgate and they always have someone around to make sure that the LCD TV, generator, barbecue, etc are not stolen. I ask them to keep an eye on my bike and they are happy to oblige. I lock it up with a cable lock and head off to the game.
