Thanks for the complements, Rob. We used sidepulls at the customer's request; this bike will be his urban / suburban daily commuter and he felt the road style caliper would better suit his needs. Fenders will probably be added in the near future.
One thing to note on the brakes: We installed the Tektro 556 extra long reach brakes, and even those were almost not long enough (aka bottomed-out) on the 650B rim.
