I've certainly gotten into the habit of using a strap on my Silca pump
to get rid of an annoying rattle that occurs without its use. The
pump on my Riv is located beneath the top tube, with a brazed peg on
the head tube to accommodate the pump. Without a strap the pump
vibrates against the rear brake cable. I don't see any marring of the
paint, and I'd definitely rather ride without the rattle!

By the way, I don't if anyone else has had this problem, but I can't
view your blog site. Every time I attempt to open the site, my
Internet Explorer aborts the operation. Maybe I should try Google's
Chrome!
