Even were that the case- and I doubt it as Mavic has made finger- pointing and ducking responsibility and blaming everyone else into a fine art over the years- there is still no excuse for every spoke in a wheel breaking catastrophically. IMHO it is irresponsible and perhaps criminally negligent for Mavic to leave this product on the market. They will eventually pay in court and pay very heavily for this product if they persist. Events like this make one really appreciate Grant's conservative design philosophy and his tendency to build in some margin into his designs. Sure, Rivs could be a bit lighter, a bit racier, etc. but then the weight-versus-durability issue starts to rear its head. I think Grant probably likes to sleep well at night and not be awake worrying if some kind of marginal remove-every-possible-gram Rivendell design is going to dump someone to the pavement. 'Cuz there don't seem to be any Rivendell designs like that! --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
