They're getting that kind of money for a 23mm Michelin Pro3Race. If that tire's worth that much money (considering how little material there is in it by comparison!) then surely the Hetre is worth it as well. I doubt the Pro3Race is going to be as dramatically different from its competition as the Hetre. Face it: the dollar has lost a lot of value in the past couple of years. These prices are in part a reflection of that.
