If true, that would mean a very low inflation rate on this item! BTW, the 
serial number will tell when teh frame was made, as opposed to "circa" 
Waterford's system gives the month as a letter, the last 2 digits of the year 
and the nth frame made in that month at the factory.

Isn't that what the early Waterford-built Riv frames went for new?  
IIRC I paid $1100 for my A/R in 1996, shortly before they went to $1400.
