Thanks Shoji & Ron, that's good info.  I think 25 kilos is a pretty decent 
amount, assuming the front end is supported and no one is foolish enough to 
sit on it.     I think I'll give the plescher a try.  I've been thinking 
about a number of small changes to the tandem and I can roll this one in.
