I had a Ram for a few years. I was riding an early Sam with canti's and on my first ride on the new to me Ram I thought that this rides so much better than the Sam. I thought the Sam was too stiff for unloaded rides but the Ram felt just right. I was on a 58cm frame as well. Not sure how much you weigh but at ~200lbs the Ram felt much plusher and right for me. I used JB Greens most of the time which were a perfect match for the Ram.
You mentioned Pasela's.. are they the TG model?
