As far as the hidden bolt of the XD, I have found that not greasing the bolts at all, leaving them as they come from the factory, works so well I have not needed to use the little ring bolt tool. It's still an exercise in futility to put it together though . . . lol. Whoever thought that was a good idea ? HaH !
